L/SNT2 Professional Education
Graduates in the class of Health Professions in the Rehabilitation Area carry out, with professional responsibility and autonomy, activities aimed at prevention, care, rehabilitation, and the design and implementation of educational pathways for individuals and communities. These activities are carried out in accordance with the regulations concerning the identification of the professional role and the related professional profile defined by Decree of the Minister of Health 520/98. The professional figure identified is the Professional Educator, with the following profile: the professional educator is a social and health professional who, holding the qualifying university diploma, implements specific educational and rehabilitation projects within a therapeutic plan developed by a multidisciplinary team. These activities aim at the balanced development of personality with educational and relational objectives in a context of participation and reintegration into daily life; the educator also promotes the positive social and psychological integration or reintegration of individuals facing difficulties. L/SNT2 Speech and Language Therapy
The Degree Programme in Speech and Language Therapy belongs to the class of Health Professions in Rehabilitation. The Speech and Language Therapist is a qualified healthcare professional who works in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders affecting voice, speech, oral and written language, calculation, communication, fluency, hearing, as well as oral and swallowing functions and all functions, including cognitive ones, involved in the comprehension and production of language in developmental, adult, and geriatric ages. The educational pathway aims to train expert technicians with solid scientific foundations and both theoretical and practical preparation in the various fields of psychology, with attention also to the ethical and professional aspects of the discipline. In particular, the programme focuses on the main areas of study, research, and intervention in psychology, including general and experimental psychology, developmental and educational psychology, social and work psychology, and clinical and health psychology, while also incorporating non-psychological disciplines relevant to this professional profile. Educational objectives include acquiring systematic and up-to-date knowledge of bio-psychological, cognitive, emotional, and social processes, as well as theoretical and practical skills related to psychological research methods and techniques. The Bachelor’s Degree programme is aimed at acquiring knowledge, skills, and competences in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies through the study of subjects in analytical-chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and biomedical fields. President: Prof. Marzia Innocenti
The Single-Cycle Master’s Degree programme provides the competences needed to become experts in medicines and health products. Graduates typically work in pharmacies, but also in the pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetics industries. The degree in Pharmacy qualifies graduates to practise the profession of pharmacist.
