Department Mission

Mission

The NEUROFARBA Department promotes a multidisciplinary and translational approach to human health across the entire lifespan, integrating preclinical, clinical, psychological, and pharmaceutical expertise. Its mission is pursued through:

• advanced training of professionals in the life sciences (including pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, medicine, neuroscience, and psychology) through a wide range of educational programmes: Bachelor's and Master's Degrees, Specialization Schools, Doctoral Programmes, Master's Programmes, and Advanced Training Courses;
• the integration of teaching, scientific research, clinical practice, and laboratory-based learning;
• collaboration with the National Health Service (SSN) and industry to ensure education closely connected to real-world contexts;
• high-quality scientific research capable of generating innovation and transferable knowledge;
• the translation of fundamental knowledge into solutions applicable to medical and pharmaceutical practice;
• active participation in research projects, including those funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), competitive grants, and patents;
• a strong commitment to the Third Mission through research valorization and social impact activities, promoting the transfer of scientific knowledge to society through dissemination, training, and collaboration with companies and institutions;
• the engagement of citizens, schools, and local communities in promoting health and well-being;
• an increasingly international dimension based on strategic collaborations and academic mobility.
