Mission

The NEUROFARBA Department promotes a multidisciplinary and translational approach to human health across the entire lifespan, integrating preclinical, clinical, psychological, and pharmaceutical expertise. Its mission is achieved through:

• advanced training of professionals in the life sciences (pharmaceutical, pharmacological, medical, neuroscientific, and psychological fields) through a wide range of educational programs: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, Specializations, PhDs, Master’s Programs, and Advanced Training Courses;
• integration of teaching, scientific research, clinical practice, and laboratory-based learning;
• collaborations with the National Health Service (SSN) and the industrial sector to ensure education connected to real-world contexts;
• excellence in scientific research capable of generating innovation and transferable knowledge;
• translating basic knowledge into solutions applicable to medical and pharmaceutical practice;
• active participation in projects (PNRR, competitive calls, patents);
• strong commitment to the Third Mission, with activities enhancing research value and social impact (transferring scientific knowledge to society through outreach, training, and collaboration with companies and institutions);
• engagement of citizens, schools, and local communities in the promotion of health and well-being;
• an expanding international dimension, based on strategic collaborations and academic mobility.
