Patents/Technology Transfer
The Department of NEUROFARBA holds numerous patents, including worldwide intellectual property coverage, thanks to its intense interdisciplinary research activity. NEUROFARBA is also involved, through its members, in a large number of clinical trials and multicenter observational studies, which represent significant clinical research activities for the Ministry, the Region, and various Associations/Foundations. Many NEUROFARBA members serve as organizers of international conferences on specific topics, being recognized experts able to provide important research contributions at both national and international levels, not only for the evaluation of drugs or drug candidates but also for diagnostics, theranostics, and disease markers. Some hold key scientific leadership roles within Societies, Foundations, and national and European working groups; others are invited to working groups or serve as members of advisory boards. In addition, many members of the Department are engaged in the provision of Continuing Medical Education (CME).
