Partnerships for the Goals

The Department is involved in collaborative, interdisciplinary projects with other entities such as local health authorities (ASL), ANCI, associations and businesses, and developing countries. In addition, it shares projects and facilities with other research bodies—CNR, the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS), and IRCCS Meyer—in common departmental spaces, which thus become purpose-driven partnerships for both research and pre- and post-graduate training.  

The Department raises awareness in the local community and among the public on topics related to its activities during cultural events of various kinds, such as initiatives that actively engage citizens in research—also in synergy with other local institutions (Bright Night, Scienza Estate)—and through the series of public lectures “One Health for All, All for Health,” organized within the Department of Excellence activities and featuring speakers from public (ASL and IRCCS) and private institutions. The Department is also engaged in training activities in collaboration with cultural associations, professional associations, and public bodies and non-profit organizations. It is also committed to prevention projects and interactions with the school system.

In 32% of the 2024 research outputs (journal articles) deposited in the Flore database, an SDG is indicated, in almost all cases SDG 3, alone or in combination with SDG 4 and/or SDG 5.

Of the 23 projects in 2024 listed in the Research Registry database, only 7 report one or more SDGs.
