The commitment of the teaching staff in carrying out their institutional activities is aimed at training professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and healthcare sectors who are capable of conducting research and technological innovation through the acquisition of advanced skills in intellectual property management and industrial development.
From the Department’s expertise in the areas of pharmacology, pharmacovigilance, and pharmacoepidemiology, the spin-off Dynamedics was established, approved by the University of Florence, for the development of information systems related to healthcare data flow and the safety and efficacy of drugs, parapharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
